13 Days of Gratitude — Day 13

Psalm 75:1

“We thank you, O God! We give thanks because you are near. People everywhere tell of your wonderful deeds.”

1. Pause to meditate on God’s nearness to you today.

2. What is one thing you could do to increase your awareness of God’s nearness throughout your day?

3. As we enter Thanksgiving week, write down some examples to share with family and friends of God’s wonderful work in your life.

13 Days of Gratitude — Day 12

Colossians 2:7

“Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.”

1. How can your life but built on the truth of Christ?

2. What is one way you can nurture or “water” your faith to deepen your roots?

3. Why is thankfulness the byproduct of strongly rooted faith in Jesus?

13 Days of Gratitude — Day 11

Philippians 4:6

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.”

1. Common, everyday worry is about self-reliance. What is one thing you can rely on God for today?

2. Why is thankfulness connected to asking God for what you need?

3. Make a list of everything you can think of that God has done in your life. Give him thanks when you are done.

13 Days of Gratitude — Day 9

Psalm 111:1

“Praise the Lord! I will thank the Lord with all my heart as I meet with his godly people.”

1. Why is it important to meet together with other godly people?

2. What is one thing you could say to someone at church today to give God thanks?

3. Are there any parts of your heart that are not in a place of thanks? What would it take to align your whole heart in gratitude to God?
